North Uist Primary School Sports

Primary 7 Champions
The annual North Uist Primary School Sports were held at Paible School on Monday 18 June in glorious weather. As the very first Sport’s Day was held on Hosta Machair in 1958, plans are afoot to mark next year’s 50th anniversary event in a special way. The number of pupils as well as the number of schools participating has dramatically reduced over the years. In 1978, there were 240 pupils in all North Uist schools while this year there were only 87.
