Our S2 pupils were putting Curriculum for Excellence into practise by passing on the skills they had learned themselves to primary pupils from Paible, Carinish and Balavanich.
Mr Donald Maclean retired from his post as DHT on Friday 28 August. Mr Maclean took up his post in Oct 1996, thereby nearly completeing 13 years service. He was previously Principal Teacher of Biology in Sgoil Lionacleit. All staff and pupils join in wishing Mr Maclean a very happy retirement from his post as DHT and would like to thank him for his valuable contributions towards the life of the school. Mr Maclean is highly respected in the school and the school community. He has kindly agreed to do supply work teaching science for 3 days per week.
Congratulaations to Eleanor Macdonald, Kyles, a former pupil of the school who has just climbed Kilimanjaro (5892m) along with other students from St Andrews University. She reached the summit on Thursday 3 Sept after a 5 day climb. Eleanor has raised over £2500 towards Childreach International. Click on link to find out more about Eleanor's achievement.
