Chanter Competition Congratulations to Kasia Maclellan, a primary 4 pupil,who was the winner in the Beginners' Chanter Competition that was held in Stornoway on Saturday 9 June.

Choices for Life Primary 7 pupils attended a 'Choices for Life' presentation in the Lewis Sports Centre on Tues 5 June. It was a wonderful, vibrant show highlighting for children the importance of making the right decisions in life and not to be carried away by the drug/drink culture.

Paible Gaelic Medium Pr5-7 have won a National Numeracy Competition organised by Learning Teaching Scotland. Read about it in our May 2007 Newsletter which is now online.

Smike the Musical Production
Paible School presented their first ever musical on Thursday24 and Friday 25 May. It was a truly magnificant and professional performance by such a young cast with pupils from primary 5 to Sec 2 all playing their part to perfection. The musical was the brain-child of Jean Cairns, the school secretary who was the director and choreographer of the show. She was deservedly presented with a bouquet of flowers by Smike at the end of the show. Click on above link to read about the show and to see more pictures.

Anti-Sectarianism Week Mon26-Fri 30 March
Paible School tackled the problem of bigotry recently when they hosted a week long celebration of anti-sectarianism.  The school was awarded £3000 as part of a national initiative by the Scottish Executive to tackle sectarianism, described by Jack McConnell as, ‘Having scarred Scottish life for far too long.’ Click on the above link to find out about all our activities.
