Our project this term is all about “The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch”. We have been receiving letters from Mr Grinling, who has been telling us all about lighthouses! We decided to make our own models of lighthouses. First of all, we had to plan what we were going to need to make our lighthouses. We had to pretend we were architects and decide what materials we would need. When our plans were approved, we got to work making our lighthouses. It was a little bit messy, especially the playdough which was very sticky! Afterwards, we had to review our lighthouses. It was great fun making our own lighthouses! Have a look at us making our lighthouses.
Mr Grinling sent us a letter asking us to help him make healthy sandwiches. Mrs Grinling always gave him far too much too eat! We wrote a shopping list and visited the Bayhead shop to get the ingredients. When we came back, we set to work! We made sure that we washed our hands as well! We had to have a taste test for our sandwiches, we didn’t want to send Mr Grinling recipe’s for horrible sandwiches! Thankfully, they were very tasty.
