Paible XC athletes at Gordonstoun

On Monday 20th February we left Lochmaddy pier at midday and got the boat to Uig. We travelled to Inverness Youth Hostel with Liniclate School.

On Tuesday morning we travelled to the race at Gordonstoun School. The weather was hot and calm. The track was flat with changes of levels. The race categories were under 14 girls & boys, Under 15 girls & boys, over 15 girls & boys. Everyone did very well with Fiona Morrison coming 2nd in under 14 girls, Eva Troughton coming 7th in under 15 girls and Andrew Currie coming 6th in under 15 boys. Paible 2nd year boys team came 4th place overall and Paible 2nd year girls team came 5th.

 Both Liniclate school senior teams took first prize.

There was over 400 runners altogether and everyone did well. Ms Levack, Mr Townsand and Iain Macleod praised us well. Gordonstoun School was  very posh  and all pupils dressed smartly. The course was pretty easy and we liked it compared to our training grounds.
